For chocolate lovers, it’s hard to imagine a better dessert than chocolate pie. Unlike their fruit-filled counterparts, chocolate pies can be enjoyed at any time of year—no trip to the farmers market required. Most of our favorite chocolate pie recipes are delightfully simple. If you don’t want to mess with pie dough (we don’t blame you), start with a chocolate wafer crust or a store-bought graham cracker shell. Once you’ve layered on the rich, creamy chocolate filling, a pile of billowy whipped cream and chocolate shavings are all the decoration you need.
