Skip the cranberry cocktail juice and go for the full-strength option for this flavorful take on the spritz. Cynar’s herbal, honey-like sweetness is all you need to offset cranberry’s natural tannic tartness. If you need to sweeten it up, add a little simple syrup to taste or use cranberry juice cocktail and only 2 oz. of prosecco.

Cook’s note:

For a zero-proof drink, fill a wine glass three quarters full with ice. Pour 3 oz. Lurisia chinotto, 1½ oz. unsweetened cranberry juice, a squeeze of lime, and 1–2 oz. tonic water over the ice. Gently stir to combine. Taste and add a splash of simple syrup, if desired, and garnish as directed.
